He sates that the trick lies in breaking down muscles by lifting weights until muscles reach their end/final fatigue phase.  When this happens, the body takes approximately two days to repair the tissues and in the process provides a continuous fat burning process.  In fact, calories are burned for more than seventy two hours after the work out.  The program guide explains that when increasing lean muscles, the metabolic rate is increased to excesses of fifty calories per pound. This leaves calories burning furnace on long after the exercise.

The third and very important part is the nutrition phase.  By burning the calories the body will be taking in nutrients faster than normal.  The author has a detailed and very easy nutrition plan that will enhance the body taking in more micro nutrients for a healthier body.  The overall recommendation he makes about nutrition is that when under the program, one should eat more but in smaller bits to allow faster digestion.
